YEAR OF SURVIVAL

The Nightmare Life of a CAP Marine

Luis “Marty” Martinez is a 22-year-old Marine that outweighs the risk of being court-martialled to keep a secret diary about the nightmare of military service during the Vietnam war.

Almost 50 years later, Luis breaks his silence to share his year of survival while serving in the obscure unique special operations unit of the US Marine Corps known as the Combined Action Program (CAP).
